I was shocked to learn that our favourite pub Failte {Fallchee} is to become a lap dancing club.
Now dont get me wrong I'm not a prude if these sad inadequate men cant relate to women in any other way want to gawp at these over paid bimbos that's their perogative.......................,
But it does raise the thorny question of sex crime will these clubs cause an increase in rape and sexual assualt.So far it seems no one in Glasgow has considered this possability because money comes before everything in my city.
Failte was thriving as a pub with an atmosphere so relaxed ive fallen asleep in there it was the 1 place where a blind goth could drink without the threat of abuse or violence.
Failte will be sorely missed by many.
Goblin it's a shame when the jolly old quiet pubs disappear isn't it? I've never been to Glasgow but I'd guess that most of the pubs are far from quiet and you're in all probability not guaranteed an abuse-free time. It's the same in London. However, there is absolutely no evidence of a link between rape, sexual assault and lap-dancing clubs I can assure you of that.

Lawlord i hope not but the Glaswegian is a strange creature most are unable to show a woman how they really feel sex wise and domestic abuse is on the increase in this city.

CG, the only pub I'll buy you a drink in won't be somewhere between London and the deep blue sea, it'll be in the deep blue sea. Goblin I know what you mean about domestic violence, but that is at last because the police are taking it more seriously. Reported cases are up yes, but that's because it si now being treated as a crime. The law in scotland used to be, and as far as i understand it still is, disgracefully leanient, so maybe that's something for your expensive talking shop, sorry Scottish parliament, to deal with.

The government ran a D.V ad campaign for a while and it was truly disrturbing.Despite this women and men are still being hammered daily in Scotland,the crime has become more prevelant because of social pressure,stress at work unrealistic expectations from both parties and the spouse being limited financially and often dependent on the abuser for cash ect according to that vastly over budget talking shop.
